Dr. Jean-Philippe Obert, DuPont (Danisco), France
Dr. Jean-Philippe Obert is leading the DuPont Nutrition and Biosciences Culture Technology Department in France, developing essential microbial solutions to address the global needs of food manufacturers and consumers. Introduced to the world of starter cultures during his PhD in 2000 (INRA Paris & University of Connecticut), he has since built an extensive knowledge in this field from selection/ improvement of strains down to processing/commercialization of highly differentiated products working at Rhodia Food, Danisco and now DuPont – as well as partnering with universities and the global food industry. Jean-Philippe is an active member of the DuPont Technology & Innovation leadership team for Cultures, Food Enzymes and Protection. He is also fostering the development of synergistic ingredients, leveraging DuPont’s extensive range of capabilities in the field of microbiology, enzymes and metabolites.
