Hans van Trijp

Talk Title: Consumers and clean labels

Hans C.M. van Trijp is the Chair of the Marketing and Consumer Behaviour Group of Wageningen University since 2001, a job he has combined for 15 year with a part-time affiliation as Senior Consumer Behaviour Scientist at Unilever Research and Development in Vlaardingen, The Netherlands. He holds an MSc in Human Nutrition, and a PhD in marketing and consumer behaviour (“variety seeking in product choices: theory with applications in the food domain) both from Wageningen University. His key research interest is in marketing and consumer behaviour understanding in the area of healthy and sustainable for consumption and production. Food labelling is one of his key areas of interest and activity. In terms of his scientific research output he has contributed high level publications both to the disciplinary academic field of marketing science and consumer behaviour, and to the applied fields of food and agribusiness.
